As is common practice with almost all websites, my site uses cookies, which are tiny files that are downloaded to your computer, to improve your experience. Cookies do not identify you personally, just the presence of your browser. My website uses cookies to distinguish you from other users of my website. You can learn more about cookies here.

My website is built on the Squarespace platform. Squarespace may use cookies which are necessary for the proper operation of their system. Other cookies I use are analytical cookies that help me to improve my site - Google is too creepy for me, so I only use Squarespace Analytics. Information taken here tells me when users have visited my site, where they are from, what pages have been visited, and which pages are the most popular. Cookies also allow me to recognise and count the number of visitors and to see how they navigate around the website when they are using it.

How to define it, what’s collected, and how it’s used

• Personal information is any information that identifies you or could be reasonably associated with you. The personal information I collect about you is limited to your use of my website - such as submitting the contact form or making a booking. The information you choose to submit through either of these avenues may include contact information such as your name, email address, phone number, credit card information, and country and/or city of residence. It is entirely voluntary if you choose to participate in either of the above. You may remain a passive visitor on my website as well.

• The purpose of the contact form, any following correspondence, and the information collected during your booking via my website is only to follow up with requests from my guests, or future guests, and to fulfil the end product - the aurora tour.

Sharing of personal information with third parties

• Any information you choose to submit through my website remains solely with me and is not shared with any third parties. Any request for such information from a third party would see a consent request sent to you first. I’ll never sell or give away your personal information. I’m not Facebook.

Secure archival, internal control, and deletion

• When you contact me via the contact form on my website, your information is sent directly to my encrypted email inbox where it is stored and archived.

• Any information submitted when you make a booking is sent to Checkfront, where it is securely stored and kept for up to 7 years from your booking date for tax purposes. Your credit card information is stored securely on Stripe’s servers, and your personal information associated with your credit card, along with the card information itself, is never fully visible to myself. All sensitive information, such as credit card details, is encrypted and protected with a minimum 128 Bit encryption on SSL. When you are on a secure page, a lock icon will appear next to the web address, just like it does at seannorman.com/reserve

No soggy bottoms

The bottom line here is that I’m not the NSA - I’m not collecting data to spy on you. All the information collected about you, from you, through my website is essential to my business, to hopefully give you a wonderful experience with me beginning right here. And I promise, our night out under the aurora together will include plenty of delicious vegan cookies.
