Hold on

Early on, a nearly perfect night in surface data. The temperature was -25°C, but I did see some puddles developing and cracks forming in the ice on Yellowknife river (kayak season soon?)
A glimmer of the aurora competed early against a bright twilight sky. The next hours were spent only with a few passing satellites, the stars, the moon, and noises from the ice below my feet that sent my heart into my throat more than once. Then almost out of nowhere, and closing in on 3am and sunrise, she came raining down.
