Sighs of Relief

We chased a fading clear sky all the way east tonight. Toward the end of the highway, we arrived under just a few stars overhead. Photos proved I wasn’t insane seeing the faintest streaks of aurora buried behind cloud, and that same cloud began clearing so quietly you almost didn’t even notice it happening.

Just kidding. We’re in a stretch of warm, cloudy weather comparable only to the end October. Of course we noticed the skies clearing in real time.
