Chalk One Up to Perfect Timing

 

You always want a little cloud for sunrise, but moonrise? I can live without that added beauty if we are simultaneously aurora chasing. The weather, surprisingly, doesn’t always seem to care about what I want. Tonight both the earth weather and space weather were on our side, and clear skies hung on longer than forecasted, and the aurora wasted little time lighting up the sky during moonrise.
