Friday evening, I spend the night browsing online sparking my creative energies. My head retires to my pillow at midnight, and for the next four hours I wake frequently to thoughts about my first wedding. Eventually, it got far too ridiculous to the point of being unable to get back to sleep at around 4am, so I asked to let those thoughts go. And they were released. Fast forward six hours to the song ‘Vesper’ from Casino Royale as my alarm. I wake gently, only to notice it’s indeed snowing on the day of the first wedding I’ll ever photograph. It’s okay, I wasn’t nervous enough yet anyway. Slowly I move my body out of this bed, warm bed & room, into the shower and out the door headed for Steveston. I’ll let the photos guide you through the rest of the day with an amazing young couple.

All in all, the day went really well and I’m really pleased for my first wedding. The one thing I will take away from this is that I now have to push myself into external lighting, because with a good majority of the indoors shot at ISO 3200, f/1.2, 1/30th – there’s not much more light I could’ve sucked in from the nothingness that was the ambiance. Thanks for viewing!

VancityAllie - Wonderful photos Sean!
I really like the one of the shoes. It’s really nice when you are able to highlight the “little details” that the couple spends so much time planning.
Emily - Sean they are perfect and so beautiful. Even better on here than on your camera screen. Amy is going to love them!
Anna - Like I already told you, these are just amazing! And WOW, you got them up fast! I’m embarrassed to blog an August wedding now.. :P But anyway, stunning work! I can’t wait to shoot a wedding with you! :)
