Accepting Abundance

As I may have, at one point many, many years ago first mentioned, I have a soft spot in me (and my wallet) for extraordinary hotels.  This weekend I took a little break to Victoria and stayed at the Fairmont Empress.  I’ll let the hotel speak for itself.

Almost as if they knew I'd needed renewed inspiration - they pause unannounced in my frame, shared this together, and continued on. I then knew this was my final frame that night.

Michaela - I love the bright, vibrant colours. I’ve never stayed in the Empress, but I really should. It seems like a very beautiful place.

VancityAllie - The Empress is probably my FAVOURITE hotel of all time. The Empress Dining room is also one of my favourite restaurants. Some people call it stuffy, overpriced, and “old” food. I love it. I love the service, I love the way they make their drinks, I love the care and thought they put into their food! And I love that you can customize anything on the menu or challenge them to make something new!

The suites at the Empress are always really nice. I love the patterns and the old-fashioned-looking handles in the bathroom… and the fluffy towels and sheets. I love the chairs. The arms of the chairs. The cushions of the chairs.

I should really go there on the weekend sometime soon. I’ve forgotten how much I love it. Thanks for the inspiration.

Mark Hayes - Love those shots with the trees in the hallway. So very striking.

Anna - Wow.. The second picture is my favourite, but these are all amazing! And the last one, what a great moment you captured!

Emily - You are such a brat. However I am very glad that you got this break and of course this photog experience. Seriously beautiful photos.. as always! :P
